FAQs

Is Everything that you make really 100% Natural?

Yes! We only use the finest natural ingredients we can find, many are certified organic, this includes herbs, butters, clay, sea salts, and natural oils. We do not use anything artificial (no dyes, no synthetics, no preservatives, no artificial fragrance).

What is the shelf life of your products?

Since our products are truly all natural and we do not use any unnatural preservatives at all our products do have a shelf life, typically 6 months to 1 year. If our products are kept out of direct sunlight and at room temperature or below they will stay fresher longer.  We do use a silver ion natural preservative in our body scrubs to extend the natural shelf life.

After an order is placed please allow 1-3 business days for your order to ship.  Many of our items are made to order so they are at the peak of freshness when you receive them. Please let us know if you need an item by a certain date and we will always do our best to accommodate your needs. Thank you!

For U.S. Orders: After shipping please allow 2-3 days for your order to arrive. For International Orders: Please allow up to 4 weeks for your order to arrive after shipping. Usually, it will arrive sooner, but customs departments do have the right to hold items and there is not much we can do about this.

How do I use a shampoo bar?

If you are not used to solid shampoo bars the concept may sound a bit strange, but they are WONDERFUL! Super rich with loads of fluffy lather, our natural shampoo bars are made in small batches using recipes meticulously developed to naturally clean and condition your scalp and leave hair soft, shiny, clean, and most of all healthy.

To use - get your hair very wet and then massage the bar against your hair in a small circular motion until you work up a rich lather. Some of my test subjects (I mean friends) said it was easier to rub the bar between your hands to work up some lather, then rub your hands directly on your hair. Work the lather into your scalp and rinse thoroughly.  Be sure that you really get a good lather and rinse, rinse, rinse.

Our scented shampoo bars are made with natural botanical and pure essential oils. The essential oil blends we use are formulated for their therapeutic value as well as for their beautiful scent.

Our shampoo bars contain no artificial fragrance, color, preservatives, detergents, alcohol, urea, formaldehyde, sodium laurel sulfate, DEA, propylene glycol - or any of the other synthetic hair care additives.

Each of our shampoo bar selections contains a different blend of natural plant oils, essential oils, and herb infused oils. No two recipes are the same.

Do I need to use an apple cider vinegar rinse?

Whether or not you need to use an apple cider vinegar (ACV) rinse depends on a number of factors.

Your water the harder your water, the more likely you will need to use an ACV rinse.
Hair length: many of our male customers and woman with short hair have found that they do not need to rinse with vinegar, simply because their hair is short.
Tangles: ACV rinses often help with tangles
Residue: If your hair has residue from previous products or you regularly use conditioners, styling gels etc., our shampoo bars are mild and may not remove residue from your hair like detergent shampoos
Your hair type: everyone's hair is unique

How long will a shampoo bar last?

Each bar should last about 5 times as long as your average shampoo bottle.  For best results, store your bar on a wire rack between uses.

Can I use a shampoo bar with color treated hair?

Yes, all of our shampoo bars are safe for color treated hair.

Where can I buy your products in my area?

I have products in a few stores and will provide a list upon request.
